“THE TREASURE OF CAMPO” is a real journey to discover the history and the values belonging to this land suspended between the mountain and the lake. Along the path, immersed in nature and in an atmosphere from another time, young explorers will find signs telling the stories of real people or characters from fantasy and local tradition, such as Margherita known as “the mayor”, the seven brothers, Cecilia with the long braid, and many others.
The idea of the trail was born with the intention of preserving the historical memory of these places, so that it does not disappear with the inevitable depopulation. The creators of the project entrusted this important task to “Aunt Anita”, the narrator who accompanies visitors along the entire route.
Please note that the treasure hunt “The Treasure of Campo” is a free and permanent trail.
Type of route
The path includes stretches on asphalt and others on dirt, with medium elevation gain; it is suitable for adults and children (for infants, the use of a baby carrier or backpack is recommended).
The total walking time, including the treasure hunt stops, is about two hours.
Young explorers can enjoy reaching the 14 stages that lead to the discovery of the “Treasure of Campo”; in some stages they will find value-words to write down on a MAP.
If all the required words are found, they will receive a small gadget as a souvenir.
